Dr Chris Cheng
Principal Dentist. BHSC (Dent). M.Dent.
Dr Chris Cheng graduated and attained his Bachelor of health sciences in Dentistry and Master of Dentistry qualifications locally from the University of La Trobe, based in regional Victoria.
He worked at various community dental clinics across regional and rural Victoria over the years before finally settling down in Melbourne in 2015. He has been working in various private dental clinics across Melbourne, and finally partnered up with Dr Henry to open Dental Studio Mooroolbark in order to provide the quality of dental care he believes all should receive.
He is very friendly and easy going, but at the same time is committed to providing the best quality and most comprehensive dentistry for every patient he sees. He enjoys every aspect of the job, and is particularly interested in crown and bridge work, root canal treatments, oral surgery and extractions, and cosmetic dentistry including porcelain and composite dental veneers.
Outside of dentistry, Chris enjoys basketball and as an avid snow lover, you may find him on the slopes in Winter.
Dr Henry Cheng
Principal Dentist. BHSC(Dent). M.Dent.
Dr Henry Cheng has extensive experience in all aspects of dental care. He has particular interests in Oral Surgery, wisdom tooth extractions, dental Implant treatment, Orthodontic treatment and is our resident Invisalign treatment provider.
Henry enjoys positively influencing people’s health, and we won’t be surprised if our patients have the healthiest smiles.
Dr Teresa Ko
Dentist. BHSC (Dent). M.Dent.
Dr Teresa (Terrie) graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Masters of Dentistry from Victoria. Prior to joining the team at Dental Studio Mooroolbark, Terrie gained a wealth of experience working at numerous clinics across Melbourne and in the beautiful town of Wonthaggi. Her broad exposure to patients of all walks of life allows her to ensure every person receives tailored care most suited to their goals.
Well known for her gentle demeanour, Terrie finds it particularly rewarding to help patients with dental anxiety to feel more comfortable coming to the dentist. She is also passionate about helping people gain confidence through their smile and so enjoys cosmetic dentistry including veneers, crowns and restoring teeth to their proper shape and function.
When not at work, Terrie enjoys going on hikes and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Dr Emily Yong
Dentist. BHSC (Dent). M.Dent.
Dr Emily graduated from La Trobe University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and a Masters of Dentistry. She gained valuable experience working in Wodonga, before returning home to Melbourne, where she has worked in both private and public practices. She is thrilled to join the team at Dental Studio Mooroolbark.
Emily is passionate about patient care, particularly with helping patients overcome their dental fears. She places emphasis on delivering patient focused treatment plans by always listening to the individual needs of her patients. Her friendly and gentle nature also helps patients of all ages to feel at ease in the dental setting.
Emily has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatments and conservative dentistry that follow biomimetic principles. She also enjoys working with children, making their dental visits fun and positive.
On the weekends, Emily is usually busy baking in the kitchen or exploring the Victoria’s beautiful national parks with her dogs, Simba and Duke.
Dr Daniel Fan
Dentist. BHSC (Dent). M.Dent.
Dr Daniel Fan completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Master of Dentistry in Latrobe University in 2013, and has since worked in private practices in Benalla and Shepparton before settling down in Melbourne.
Daniel has attained recognition by the ICCDE after 2 years of training with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and has a special interest in doing braces and clear aligners as a general practitioner. Daniel loves detail, and is thorough in examinations, root canals, crowns and veneers. Understanding the patient's needs and desires is a priority and Daniel enjoys working with patients to achieve an aesthetic and long lasting smile.
Outside of work Daniel is a bit of an adrenaline junkie and likes being challenged by gravity on a snowboard or mountain bike. He also likes to travel, and has been on dental mission trips to Cambodia and Philippines. Daniel is also fluent in Mandarin, and sees patients of all ages!
Dr Rebecca Liu
Dr. Rebecca Liu completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Melbourne where she received the 'Edward Brooke Nicholls Prize' in recognition of academic excellence.
Since graduation, Rebecca continues to develop professionally by attending various seminars/workshops/courses, most recently a course of transalveolar extractions and surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth. She is also experienced in providing treatment for patients under nitrous oxide or general anaesthesia.
Dr. Rebecca comes to us having spent the last few years in Wagga Wagga where she built incredible rapport with her patients. She is proud to provide tailored care that suits each individual's needs with a focus on reducing dental anxiety. Her patients often describe her as "caring, gentle, and thorough".
In her spare time, Dr. Rebecca enjoys tending to her succulent garden, learning about AFL football, and travelling.
