To begin with, one of our highly skilled dentists will develop a treatment plan for your dental implant procedure, typically conducted in stages over several months. Initially, a 3D jaw scan and x-rays will be taken to provide your dentist with precise guidance for implant placement.
In a minor surgical procedure, your dentist will place the dental implant into your jawbone after administering local anaesthesia to ensure your comfort during the surgery. Over approximately three months, your bone will naturally grow around the implant, securing it firmly in place.
During the healing period at the implant site, a custom artificial tooth (crown) will be crafted in a laboratory. Once ready, the crown will be fixed to the metal implant, effectively filling the gap in your teeth.
Dental implants can also be utilised to support a dental bridge or dentures, offering versatile solutions for tooth replacement.
Dental implants are state-of-the-art titanium posts that are biocompatible and function as artificial tooth roots. These posts are carefully placed into the jawbone through surgery, where they gradually fuse with the bone. Once fully integrated, they create a strong foundation for attaching a replacement tooth or teeth.

What are implant dentures?
Implant dentures are a type of dental prosthesis supported by dental implants. Unlike traditional dentures, which rest on the gums and rely on natural suction and adhesives, implant dentures are anchored to dental implants placed in the jawbone. This provides a more stable and secure fit, mimicking the natural feel of your teeth.

Dental Implants have many benefits. these include:
On average, dental implants can last between 10 to 30 years with proper care. However, the lifespan of implants can vary depending on factors such as age, overall health, and how well aftercare instructions are followed. The artificial tooth component, called the crown, generally lasts about 10 to 15 years before it may need to be replaced. While some implants can endure a lifetime, regular maintenance and potential crown replacements may be required over time to ensure continued functionality and aesthetics.
Dental implants typically start at around $5000 per tooth. This cost is spread out between appointments or can be paid upfront. Implants can also be utilised to replace multiple teeth by using bridges or a larger implant crown, which can make them a more cost-effective option for patients.
We offer a few different payment options at out clinic, the first one being Afterpay. Afterpay works by splitting the total cost into 4 interest free fortnightly installments. The amount Afterpay will cover is dependent on the individual, however, we welcome you to make a split payment if your Afterpay will not cover your total treatment cost.
Another payment plan we offer is Medipay. Medipay is a third party loan scheme which allows for personalised repayment amounts dependent on your financial situation, however interest is added to the total price.
The final option we offer is release of superannuation. This is done by completing a form which outlines the treatment you wish to get done and the total cost of this.
